Basketball Recap: Westfield School Hornets vs. Calvary Christian Knights
Westfield School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Christian Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-43 back in January.
Tj Benson was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 10 on his way to 15 points and five steals for Calvary Christian. Benson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dylan Hosten, who posted ten points and six boards.
Westfield School's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Calvary Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-12 record.
Westfield School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-38 loss against Deerfield-Windsor on the 1st. As for Calvary Christian, they will look to defend their home court on February 7th against Strong Rock Christian at 7:30 p.m.
