Baseball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss

Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the South Rowan Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-2 last Tuesday.

Concord saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maxwell Pryduluk, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Pryduluk a new career-high in hits.

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for South Rowan, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Concord will venture away from home to face off against West Rowan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Rowan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for South Rowan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Rowan knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Central Cabarrus likes a good challenge.
