Basketball Recap: Arthur Smith's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Parsippany over Whippany Park

Parsippany was the 56-51 winner over Whippany Park when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Parsippany Redhawks fell to the Whippany Park Wildcats 49-43.

Parsippany's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arthur Smith, who went 8-for-17 en route to 16 points and five assists. Smith has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Alex Schmieder was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Parsippany dropped their record down to 10-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Whippany Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.
