Volleyball Recap: Tough Loss for Jackson

Jackson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Juanita Ravens on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Despite the loss, Jackson still got an impressive performance from Hannah Jumpawong, who had eight digs and four aces.

Norah Lacey was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs, nine kills, and three aces. Another player making a difference was Violet Dougherty, who had 11 digs, six kills, and two aces.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Juanita, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Coming up, Jackson will challenge Snohomish at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Timberwolves their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Juanita, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Cedar Park Christian on the 9th.
