Basketball Game Preview: Robertson Cardinals vs. Santa Fe Indian Braves

Robertson is 8-2 against Santa Fe Indian since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Robertson Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the Santa Fe Indian Braves at 7:00 p.m. Robertson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Robertson slipped by St. Michael's 59-58.

Robertson found their leader in freshman Arianna Martinez, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 20 points. Martinez's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Martinez, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Santa Fe Indian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They breezed past Academy for Technology and The Classics to the tune of 55-15 on Tuesday. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

Santa Fe Indian has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points over those games. As for Robertson, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.

Robertson came up short against Santa Fe Indian when the teams last played on February 4th, falling 61-55. Can Robertson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
