Football Recap: Methacton Comes Up Short

Methacton lost against Spring-Ford back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took a blow against the Rams, falling 35-7. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Rams are ranked 125th).

Brayden Hinkle was a one-man wrecking crew For Spring-Ford. as he rushed for 112 yards and three TDs. Those 112 rushing yards gave Hinkle a new career-high.

Methacton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Spring-Ford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Methacton will welcome Norristown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Spring-Ford, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Perkiomen Valley at 7:00 p.m.
