It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fayetteville can now relate to. They fell 79-70 to the Brookeland Wildcats on Friday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak.

Brookeland got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Smith out in front who went 12-for-26 on his way to 30 points along with six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Morgan, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 19 rebounds.

Fayetteville's defeat dropped their record down to 27-9. As for Brookeland, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 29-7.

As of now, neither Fayetteville nor Brookeland have any future games scheduled.
