Pine Grove dropped their record down to 19-12 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles, falling 10-1. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Tupelo Christian Prep, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-8. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 18 matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

For Tupelo Christian Prep's part, Thomas Goralczyk spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks. Goralczyk has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brooks Bresee was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jax Coker, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tupelo Christian Prep beat Pine Grove by a score of 9-4 later that day.
