Desert Edge has gone 3-0 against Youngker recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Desert Edge Scorpions will take on the Youngker Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. Desert Edge is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Desert Edge was beaten by Willow Canyon 64-33. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Wildcats are ranked 92nd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Youngker, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They took down Carl Hayden Community 54-36 on Tuesday. The Roughriders pushed the score to 48-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

Youngker is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Desert Edge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Everything came up roses for Desert Edge against Youngker in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, as the team secured a 71-43 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Youngker's Clarissa Lopez, who went 9 for 15 on her way to 23 points.
