Softball Recap: Gila Ridge Falls Short of O'connor in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gila Ridge can now relate to. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the O'Connor Eagles on Wednesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Hawks haven't been shut out since back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Gila Ridge and nudges their season record down to 15-6. As for O'Connor, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-10.

Gila Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for O'Connor, they will square off against Sunnyside at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
