Volleyball Recap: Pacific Ridge Finds Home Court Redemption Against Mission Hills

There's no place like home for Pacific Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mission Hills Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Firebirds were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Grizzlies, so the Firebirds were just returning the favor.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-11.

Safin Zaslansky paced Pacific Ridge's offense, picking up 16 kills. Zaslansky got some help from Jake Streitman and his 43 assists. Zaslansky was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Pacific Ridge's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12. As for Mission Hills, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.

Coming up, Pacific Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mission Hills, they will venture away from home to face off against San Marcos at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
