While Heritage put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Rancho Mirage. The Patriots blew past the Rattlers 11-0. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.
JJ Kinnaird was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Guevara, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rancho Mirage only posted an OBP of .222.
Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Rancho Mirage, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
Heritage has already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Lincoln on the 15th. As for Rancho Mirage, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Palm Springs at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Considering the Rattlers have lost three straight at home and the Indians eight straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
