Cian Moore Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Covington was led to victory by Cian Moore, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Moore rushed for 390 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 69 receiving yards. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Goff and Riverton Parke will look to defend their home field on Friday against Parke Heritage at 7:00 p.m. The last time Goff took on the Wolves, he picked up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 37 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

A Season-Best Effort from Dallas Coleman Leads South Vermillion over Fountain Central
On Friday, South Vermillion got the W thanks in part to Dallas Coleman playing the best football he has all season. Coleman rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.
Unfortunately for Fountain Central, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Coleman. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Coleman saw the Mustangs), he rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Matthew Dawson was instrumental in extending North Vermillion's winning streak to three on Friday. Dawson was dynamite, rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also throwing for 198 yards and two touchdowns.
North Vermillion pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Dawson and North Vermillion will host Fountain Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Garzolini As South Vermillion Won 55-14
Dominic Garzolini's big game helped extend South Vermillion's winning streak to seven on Friday. Garzolini did his part (and then some), throwing for 301 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Garzolini and South Vermillion will be playing in front of their home fans against Seeger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Patriots, probably because Garzolini had a solid game then too: he threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score.
