Volleyball Recap: Liberty Tree Academy Takes a Loss

Liberty Tree Academy lost against Calhan back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The War Eagles came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Liberty Tree Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Calhan work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 25-13.

Melody Pruitt paced Liberty Tree Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Pruitt got some help from Tess Meyer and her 17 assists. Bella Serna and Lily King kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Liberty Tree Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Calhan, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Liberty Tree Academy will head out on the road to take on Peyton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calhan, they will be playing at home against Custer County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
