Canandaigua Academy barely beat Aquinas Institute the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves' pitchers stepped up to hand the Little Irish a 15-0 shutout on Monday. The contest marked the Braves' most dominant win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Canandaigua Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Aquinas Institute, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-7.

Canandaigua Academy and Aquinas Institute should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Braves will challenge Geneva at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (69 vs. 544). Meanwhile, Aquinas Institute (ranked 188th) will meet Northstar Christian Academy (ranked 556th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
