Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Extends Winning Streak to Five

Lakeside entered their tilt with Wallace on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Miners. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Miners walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Lakeside was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (93-88), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 13-25, 25-23.

Several Miners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayden Stutzke, who had 17 assists and eight digs. Stutzke has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more assists the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Rehnborg, who had 14 digs.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Wallace, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will square off against Non Varsity Opponent at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wallace, they will host St. Maries at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
