Football Recap: Coral Springs Charter Comes Up Short

Coral Springs Charter fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Coral Glades on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 12-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The Panthers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Despite the loss, Coral Springs Charter saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ali Rodriquez rushed for 50 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 225 yards while completing 75% of her passes.

Coral Springs Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Coral Glades, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

As of now, neither Coral Springs Charter nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
