            Softball Recap: Loara Saxons vs. Santa Ana Valley Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            Loara dropped their record down to 8-9 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They lost  11-4 to the Santa Ana Valley Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  10-1  loss  on April 4th.
As for Santa Ana Valley, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record  this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.6 runs.
For Santa Ana Valley's part,  Espy Guerrero spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four  runs (all of which were unearned)  on nine hits. Guerrero has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Santa Ana Valley got a  massive  performance out of  Janelle Coronel, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Coronel is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Karla Oliva, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  run.
 Coming up, Loara will square off against Estancia at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Saxons are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak. As for Santa Ana Valley, they will challenge Bolsa Grande at 3:15  p.m.  on Friday.
