Softball Preview: Rootstown Rovers vs. Columbiana Clippers

The Rootstown Rovers will head out on the road to challenge the Columbiana Clippers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Rootstown is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.

In what's become a running theme this season, Rootstown gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Pymatuning Valley 8-0.

Canton South typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Columbiana proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Wildcats 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Columbiana.

Caitlynn Pleska made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over four innings pitched. Pleska was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maryn Hepler, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
