Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 6-9 in the process. They lost 10-3 to the Highland Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rough Riders have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Roosevelt saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teddy Maccarone, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Jack Flynn also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

As for Highland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Highland's side, they got a great performance from Cooper Richnafsky as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits.

On the hitting side, Casey Myser was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Radigan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Coming up, Roosevelt will host Brush at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Highland, they will square off against Tallmadge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
