Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Etiwanda's Ninth in Last 12 Outings

There's no place like home for Etiwanda, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Liberty Lions by a score of 55-47 on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 94th in California, while the Lions are ranked fifth in Arizona).

Liberty's loss came despite strong showings from Jackson Hunter and TJ Harris. Hunter went 6 for 13 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds, while Harris went 6 of 14 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephan Miller, who posted eight points.

Etiwanda is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Liberty, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.
