Soccer Recap: Overton Takes a Loss

Overton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Kingsbury Falcons, falling 4-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Overton of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Overton's loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for Kingsbury, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overton will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Cordova at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Overton's defense better be ready for this one: Cordova have averaged an impressive 5.8 goals per game this season. As for Kingsbury, they will square off against Whitehaven at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingsbury will be up against Whitehaven's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.5 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
