Creekside gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past Oakleaf 66-44. Creekside has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Oakleaf, too.
Creekside had a senior duo take command as Cami Waters shot 40% from the field en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals and Brie McCoy dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. McCoy has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Siun Crowley, who posted four points in addition to eight boards and six assists.
Creekside was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oakleaf only posted three.
Oakleaf's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nyla Parsons, who put up 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Brinkley Todd, who had 12 points and eight boards.
Oakleaf's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
