Football Recap: Crescent Valley Takes a Loss

Crescent Valley and Marshfield squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Crescent Valley had to settle for second. They were dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of the Pirates. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Enoch Niblett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Marshfield, throwing for 211 yards and four TDs while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 61 yards and one score. A healthy portion of Niblett's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Lane Olsen, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Crescent Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Marshfield, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Crescent Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marshfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 33-21 victory against La Grande on the 14th.
