Preview: Antelope Rams vs. Bagdad Sultans

The Antelope Rams will stay at home for another game and welcome the Bagdad Sultans at 4:30 p.m. on January 18th. Antelope comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.

On Tuesday, Antelope had to suffer through a rough 43-13 loss at the hands of North Phoenix Preparatory Academy.

Bagdad suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Salome at home and fell 42-10. While losing is never fun, Bagdad can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Salome is ranked 136th).

Antelope bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.3 points per game. As for Bagdad, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Antelope was taken down by Bagdad 38-10 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Antelope have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
