Softball Game Preview: Alta Hawks vs. Highland Rams

The Alta Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Highland Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Alta managed to slip by Brighton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hawks came up short against the Bengals on Thursday, falling 7-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Highland now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Alta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Highland's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Alta has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .479. It's a different story for Highland, though, as they've only averaged .301. Will they be able to contain Alta's hitters?
