Milken has gone 7-2 against Shalhevet recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wildcats will host the Firehawks at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Milken gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica 11-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Alex Rosoff made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.
In other batting news, Elijah Shokrian was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. Milken is undefeated when Shokrian posts three or more hits, but 5-6 otherwise. Jonah Herschko was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Shalhevet entered their tilt with Animo Leadership on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Aztec Eagles. The game was the first time the Firehawks have beaten the Aztec Eagles on their field since May 13, 2021.
Like Milken, Shalhevet also got a great game from a two-way player: Ari Elad. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Elad has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Liam Putnam, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times he's played.
Shalhevet lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Shalhevet pushed their record up to 3-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 25.3 runs over those games. As for Milken, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 8-6.
Shalhevet's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Milken hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. It's a different story for Shalhevet, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Milken's hitters?
Everything went Milken's way against Shalhevet in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Milken made off with an 11-2 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Firehawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
