Baseball Recap: River Ridge Takes a Loss

If River Ridge was riding high fresh off their 10-4 takedown of Pecatonica last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Timberwolves fell 10-6 to the Barneveld Eagles on Monday. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Blake Reynolds was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Cael Koenig, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

River Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Barneveld, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, River Ridge will host Potosi/Cassville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barneveld, they are taking a road trip to challenge La Farge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
