Softball Recap: Folsom Bulldogs vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies
Folsom won the last time they faced Granite Bay, and things went their way on Thursday too. The Folsom Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Granite Bay Grizzlies 6-4.
Raygan Mercado made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Mercado has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Mercado was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
