Baseball Recap: Starkville Academy Comes Up Short

Starkville Academy fell victim to Magnolia Heights and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Chiefs. The Volunteers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Starkville Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Magnolia Heights, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 23-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Starkville Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Heritage Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Magnolia Heights, they will take on Pillow Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
