Football Recap: Anderson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Anderson lost against Yreka back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cubs were just a hair shy of victory and fell 15-14 to the Miners. Despite 84 more yards than the Miners, the Cubs couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Although Anderson took the loss, they still got scores from Michael Manley and Connor Bushey.

Even if they lost, Anderson's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nathan Sanders, Cruz Alexander, and Ethan Donavon, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Jerome Walker had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 112 yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 48 yards for Yreka. That's the most passing yards Walker has posted since back in November of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Anderson and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Yreka, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Anderson has already played their next contest, a 32-6 loss against University Prep on the 24th. As for Yreka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-7 defeat against Central Valley on the 24th.
