Softball Recap: Grand County Comes Up Short at Home Against San Juan

Grand County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 14-8 to the San Juan Broncos on Tuesday. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Bailey Altoff was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Kaiya Moore, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Grand County has already played their next matchup (against Chinle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for San Juan, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Union at 3:30 p.m. on March 13th.
