Football Recap: Mahomet-Seymour Takes a Loss

Mahomet-Seymour and Washington squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Mahomet-Seymour had to settle for second. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 38-14. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Ryan Pruitt threw for 252 yards on 19 of 33 attempts. Marco Casillas was his top target, picking up 100 receiving yards.

Mahomet-Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Washington, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Mahomet-Seymour does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Washington, they will square off against Providence Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
