Softball Recap: Palisades Falls Short of Verdugo Hills in the Playoffs

Palisades and Verdugo Hills squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Palisades had to settle for second. They lost 16-0 to the Dons. The Dolphins were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Dons' pitchers proved too tough.

The loss snapped Palisades' winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record. As for Verdugo Hills, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-10-1.

Palisades does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Verdugo Hills, they will square off against Port of Los Angeles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dons will need to watch out since the Polar Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight matchups.
