Basketball Recap: Parkdale Has No Trouble Against Bladensburg

With a playoff win on the line, Parkdale rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-54 win over the Bladensburg Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

Jacob Wilson was a one-man wrecking crew for Parkdale as he shot 56% from the field to rack up 22 points. Wilson has become a key player for Parkdale: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 20 points, but 7-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of EJ Healey, who posted 15 points.

Parkdale's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Bladensburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17-1 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers challenge the Jaguars on Tuesday. Flowers knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Parkdale likes a good challenge. Bladensburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
