Softball Recap: Corbin Comes Up Short

Corbin came into this matchup off a tough seven-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Clay County Tigers by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Redhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Corbin has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Clay County, their record is now 9-11.

Coming up, Corbin will challenge Harlan County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redhounds are facing the Black Bears at the right time seeing as the Black Bears are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Clay County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-1 loss against Jackson County on the 10th.
