Baseball Recap: Mound-Westonka Gets the Win

Mound-Westonka barely beat Southwest Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The White Hawks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Stars a 6-0 shutout on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the White Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Mound-Westonka saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson VanNut, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Mound-Westonka's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Southwest Christian, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mound-Westonka will head out to challenge St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southwest Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Watertown-Mayer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
