Recap: Excel Christian Academy Eagles vs. Christian Home Educators Knights
The Excel Christian Academy Eagles posted their closest win since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They skirted past Christian Home Educators 56-53. This was a revenge contest for Excel Christian Academy, as the team was forced to settle for a 70-56 loss when these two played last Monday.
Christian Home Educators' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Oglesby, who scored ten points, and Caleb Koster who scored nine points. Oglesby is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Julian Alvarez, who scored eight points.
Excel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Christian Home Educators, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-14.
Excel Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Christian Home Educators, they will play host again and welcome the Chargers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Texas Homeschool Sports presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Knights in Texas (the Chargers are ranked 714th, while the Knights are ranked 1564th).
