Basketball Recap: Frontier STEM Takes a Loss

Frontier STEM was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the St. Vincent de Paul Academy Hawks and fell 44-16. The contest marked Frontier STEM's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Vincent de Paul Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Stegall, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points along with eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Stegall a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Greene, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

Frontier STEM's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for St. Vincent de Paul Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri the next time they take the court. Frontier STEM will host Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while St. Vincent de Paul Academy will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
