Basketball Game Preview: Raceland Rams vs. Rowan County Vikings

Raceland is 0-4 against Rowan County since January of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Raceland Rams will host the Rowan County Vikings at 8:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Raceland sitting on six straight victories and Rowan County on five.

Raceland will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Russell, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Raceland came out on top against Russell by a score of 53-44 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Rowan County was able to grind out a solid win over Bath County last Monday, taking the game 49-41.

Raceland pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Rowan County, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
