Basketball Recap: Southridge Victorious

Southridge hadn't done well against Walla Walla recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Southridge Suns came out on top against the Walla Walla Blue Devils by a score of 60-49. For the Suns, this counts as revenge for the 47-46 win the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Southridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Walla Walla, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

As for Walla Walla, they will face off against Richland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Richland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Walla Walla likes a good challenge.
