Volleyball Recap: James Monroe Makes It Four in a Row at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but James Monroe had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Liberty Raiders 3-0. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory last Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 25-14.

Ava Pitzer paced James Monroe's offense, picking up 18 kills. Pitzer got some help from Skylar Clarkson and her 25 assists. Clarkson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

James Monroe's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 35-10-3. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-13-3.
