After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rogers, Sheridan was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 64-20 victory over the West Memphis Blue Devils. With that win, the Yellowjackets brought their scoring average up to 30.8 points per game.

Sheridan was led to victory by Easton Barksdale and Zay Stephens. Barksdale threw for 386 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.9 yards per attempt, while Stephens gained 133 total yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Dylan Smith, who picked up 122 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Sheridan's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Jaxson Delk with two. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

The victory got Sheridan back to even at 2-2. As for West Memphis, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Sheridan will square off against Jonesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Hurricane's rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Memphis, they are taking a road trip to square off against Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
