Volleyball Recap: Palmer Extends Winning Streak to Four

Palmer came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Widefield Gladiators 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 7th.

While Palmer won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-23.

Leading Palmer to victory were Audrenna Gemmeke-Hall and Taytum Soppe-Cope. Gemmeke-Hall had eight digs and seven aces, while Soppe-Cope had 11 digs and two assists. Gemmeke-Hall is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Palmer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 14 consecutive contests.

Palmer's record now sits at 16-6. As for Widefield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.
