Volleyball Recap: Amboy Takes a Loss

Amboy lost against Scales Mound back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Clippers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets.

Madison Althaus paced Amboy's offense, picking up five kills. Althaus got some help from Morgan Kreiser and her ten assists. Kiera Karlson and Jillian Anderson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Amboy's loss dropped their record down to 6-16-4. As for Scales Mound, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10-1 record this season.

Amboy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Warren on the 18th. As for Scales Mound, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Pecatonica on the 18th.
