Soccer Recap: Pleasant Grove Comes Up Short

Pleasant Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the North Lamar Panthers who were credited with the win. The North Lamar Panthers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Pleasant Grove Hawks' three. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Pleasant Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for North Lamar, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Coincidentally, Pleasant Grove and North Lamar will both be playing Chapel Hill the next time they take the pitch. North Lamar will head out to face Chapel Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Pleasant Grove will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
