Football Game Preview: North Forney Falcons vs. Rockwall-Heath Hawks

Two dominant signal callers in Legend Bey and Prosper Neal are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The North Forney Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockwall-Heath Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Forney comes in on six and Rockwall-Heath on three.

North Forney is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Tyler Legacy for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-19 victory. Considering the Falcons have won five matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

North Forney got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cordai Woodard out in front who rushed for 151 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Andikan Asuquo was another key back, rushing for 89 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Forney was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 215 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Woodard, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Rockwall-Heath took their game last Friday with ease, bagging a 51-21 victory over Tyler Legacy. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Raiders are ranked 153rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rockwall-Heath's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for North Forney, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

North Forney was able to grind out a solid win over Rockwall-Heath in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 49-42. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
