Baseball Game Preview: Darlington Falcons vs. South Florence Bruins

Darlington hasn't had much luck against South Florence recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Darlington will square off against South Florence at 6:30 p.m. Darlington has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Darlington's last matchup with Cheraw could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. Darlington lost 12-0 to Cheraw. The match marked the first time this season in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, South Florence entered their game against Sumter on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. South Florence took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sumter. Bruins fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Gamecocks since on Friday.

South Florence's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Darlington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Darlington suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to South Florence in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Darlington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
