Soccer Game Preview: Mount Horeb vs. Belleville

The Mount Horeb Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Belleville Wildcats at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Mount Horeb fell victim to Monona Grove and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Silver Eagles, falling 6-0. Mount Horeb haven't had much luck with Monona Grove recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Belleville put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Lake Mills. Three seems to be a good number for Belleville as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Anya Brenkman and Kylie Humke scored all three of Belleville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Belleville pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Mount Horeb, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Everything went Mount Horeb's way against Belleville in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Mount Horeb made off with a 4-0 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
