The Savannah Christian Raiders will square off against the Swainsboro Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Savannah Christian made easy work of Vidalia and carried off a 37-14 win. With the Raiders ahead 23-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

It was another big night for Blaise Thomas, who rushed for 43 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 196 yards and two TDs on only 14 passes. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Wesley Dinkins was another key player, rushing for 111 yards on only nine carries.
Meanwhile, Swainsboro strolled past Vidalia with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-20. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Indians are ranked 292nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Savannah Christian better keep an eye on Marco Danford. He was instrumental in Swainsboro's win, rushing for 17 yards and three scores, while also picking up 34 receiving yards.
The victory made it two in a row for Swainsboro and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points over those games. As for Savannah Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Savannah Christian has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 151.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Swainsboro struggles in that department as they've been averaging 202.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Savannah Christian against Swainsboro when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-12 win. In that game, the Raiders amassed a halftime lead of 48-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
